Technology background
 
Tudy on the feature of the adhesion strength of tack coating material for the asphalt coating on the concrete pavement (Munjin Cho, road transport researcher in the Korea Expressway Corporation, 2013)
It is reported that the poor tack coat caused insufficient adhesion on new and old layers, as well as pothole, separation of old and new layers, early fatigue crack, plastic deformation and pileup.
 
Effect of ESGRID
 
Pothole prevention
It protects the tack coat by applying the PE film melted into the asphalt and secures the adhesion on new and old pavement layers against the pothole
 
Crack prevention
It prevents the crack with the effect like the wire mesh on the concrete slab
 
Plastic deformation inhibition
It decreases the lateral energy from the pavement layer with the ESGRID
